The Sexy Green Car Show 2008 kicks off tomorrow at the End Project in Cornwall, in the South West of England.
The SGCS aims to showcase the best green cars around, future green motoring initiatives and also boasts “an exclusive worldwide car launch from a British manufacturer”. A taster of some of the events at the show:
- eco-carwashes, green MOTs and tyre pressure checks for your own car
- see how to reduce your carbon emissions by up to 15% with the smarter driving simulator
- pedal-powered racetrack for the kids, with a trail deep into Eden’s rainforest.
Not sure if the Eden Project are behind the show; if so, they deserve a solid round of applause. However, if its someone else then I’d have to question the choice of venue. Being tucked away in the South West, it would mean quite a long drive for many people. A more central choice (London due to population and public transport routes, or Birmingham for similar reasons and more central) would surely have been greener I would have thought.
Elsewhere, Oxford-based Liberty Electric will be producing emission-free electric Range Rovers according to the BBC.

I went with the kids, and was a great day out. We are fairly local though, based in Cornwall.
