Good points

I bought my Discovery on a 52 Plate approx. 6 months old when I got it. I have had older Disco’s, which suffered with body roll, high centre of gravity problems etc….Not so with the TD5 New shape. The car holds the road incredibly well thanks to the ACE (advanced cornering enhancement). You take relatively sharp bends surely and crisply, unbelievably, when you see the size of the car. Drivers view is exceptional. The off road capability is awesome. In low gear ratios the torque is fantastic.

Bad points

Comfort leaves a lot to be desired. I always find myself adjusting the seat to get more comfortable. Seats are hard. The engine though fantastic for off road, is underpowered. The lock is bad having to do 4 or 5 point turns where it would take 3 usually. Switches in cabin are very flimsy and break easily. The car I bought was the 5 seater. The problem being you cannot go out and buy the extra seats, no chance. the pan is completely different and you are stuck with the five.

Other comments

Land Rover should appreciate that though people want a capable off reader, comfort is high on the agenda too. I would rather sacrifice a bit of off road for more easier driving.
