Vauxhall Reviews

Good points
I have always liked powerful cars with big petrol engines however this car has changed all of that. It is a fantastic drive with bags of grunt whilst giving me 50MPG average (Motorway). Its got loads of extras and sits on 19\” alloys. It even looks the part. Vauxhall have come along way with this new Vectra but they are still let down with poor customer service arrangments. Overall though I find it hard to believe that you can buy a significantly better car anywhere for the money. I picked mine up for ?15,000 with ?3,500 woth of extras and only 4,000 miles on the clock.

Good points

This review relates to the original shape Corsa (on an X-plate). This is still a very pretty looking car, and has not dated like contemporary Fiestas. Comfort levels are good with a full complement of features including electric windows, electric PAS, heated door mirrors, central locking etc. The little 1.0 engine has a distinctive 3-cylinder hum which quietens down to virtually nothing at motorway speeds. It is a smooth, and surprisingly flexible engine for its size and is supremely reliable. This car has always started first time and never let me down – not bad when it has done an 84 mile round trip every day for the last 20 months. Fuel efficiency is good for a petrol car and the engine never uses any oil.

The Vauxhall Cavalier GLS has a reliable Isuzu engine, spacious boot and interior. Good fuel economy return: around 50mpg. Cheap maintenance for spares and parts; a nice motorway cruiser, high mileage flyer normally reach 200K.
