Comfortable, smooth ride, with a quiet engine. Great value for money good spec for price. Good points All round excellent car, very comfortable and spacious. Excellent specifications for an LX model compared to other cars of similar size. Good points My Citroen Picasso 1.6 SX is a comfortable mpv, loads of space very versatile & economical, lots of information via stalk on steering column, very aware of mph due to digital speedo. A very good car in many ways. Good points This small Citroen, based on the Peugeot 106, typifies the qualities of the marque. The ride is comfortable, pleasingly so for a car with a short wheel-base. The chassis is very well tuned, so that handling is sporty yet feels safe, it loves twisty roads, and a driver who wishes to scoot about. Roadholding is secure, and all-in-all, it proves to be a machine for those who like to drive, responding nicely to inputs that urge it on. Being a redesign of the Peugeot 106, Citroen have given the Furio a bigger boot – flat and wide due to the clever rear suspension – and a truly characterful front end, with large headlights and a curved bonnet, faced with a large chevroned grin. The Furio variant benefits from a ’sporty’ body styling, with wheel-arch extensions, a subtle rear roof spoiler, and fog lights integrated into the front spoiler. So, to me, it has ‘curb appeal’ and hence a greater potential re-sale value. Room inside is good for a supermini class car, and the rear seat folds flat. The driving environment is clear, simple and comfortable, and a slide/tilt sunroof and CD/RDS radio are standard fittings. I find it to be a more than competent car, that is useful for day-to-day driving or touring. The PSA 1360cc engine is relatively quiet and smooth, and has enough power for 0 – 62 mph in 11.2 seconds and a top speed of 109 mph, whilst returning 40+ mpg on a mixed cycle of driving. I have found the Furio to be a rewarding and enjoyable car to own and use. Good points Value for money, great drive , economical, Citroen only too keen to put any probs right and everything is done under warranty (3 years) only had a manual back window go faulty and air con once in 1.5 years sorted within 2 weeks at my local dealers Lythgoe Citroen branch in Bolton under warranty without any questions. Can’t have any complaints, a good value car with loads of bits (Traffic master inc) I don’t even use. Good points My diesel Xsara is cheap to tax because of its low emissions; it is also very good on fuel consumption even in the densest London traffic. It is quite roomy for so compact a car, and has a fair turn of speed – it can hold its own among the idiots who infest long French motorways, cruising at around 100 mph for lengthy periods. The Citroen Xsara HDi’s air conditioning is efficient and makes for comfort on the hottest days in stuffy towns. Good points The Citroen C5 Diesel Auto is a very nice drive; comfortable. The climate control on the C5 Diesel Auto also works well. |
